If you live in Pittsburgh don’t miss this!
“Frank Santoro and his band of comics cognoscenti will be on hand to talk shop, share comics legend and lore, expound on comics trends.
This time around we welcome special guest, Dash Shaw and celebrate the conclusion of Drawing Party, held earlier this day at the Carnegie Museum of Art Theatre.
Come one, come all – this event is open to everyone, not just Drawing Power attendees - and join in Pittsburgh’s definitive comics salon.”
Place: Copacetic Comics, 3138 Dobson Street - 3rd floor, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania 15219
Time: 7pm-11pm
CALL FOR ARTISTS FOR ONSITE ART AT ART ALL NIGHT
CARTOONING ALL NIGHT
Cartooning All Night invites professional and semi-professional cartoonist to participate in a group collaborative process. Cartoonists produce a page or pages of their own work based on a storyline or idea. Paper and pens will (hopefully) be provided. Cartooning All Night premièred at last year’s Art All Night and was a great success. Various styles and visions came into fruition throughout the night. This year promises to be even better with the hopes of compiling a book for distribution at future Art All Nights.
Submission Criteria:
- Each cartoonist should plan to stay at the event for a minimum of two hours; FULL 22-hour participation encouraged!
- Three to five digital images of your art work (each file smaller than 1MB)
- A brief paragraph about your art
Send all information by Friday, April 19, 2013 to onsiteart @ artallnight.org
Comics will be scanned and bound together and later available to view online. Cartoonists need to relinquish rights to work for publishing. Cartoonists who do not want to relinquish rights may still participate (but will not be included in any form of publication)
Reblog for your cartoonist friends and the art community!

This talk really touched me I’ve always had a really hard time asking for help rethinking that now. Amanda Palmer is such a beautiful spirit.
